Sky Window

This little painting is a view out of the window at the rapidly changing sky. This is the first and smallest of my newly stretched bunch of canvases. Lots of blues were used: Cobalt, Ultramarine, Pthalo, and Prussian blues, respectively. Also, my good camera is being borrowed at the moment so apologies for the sub-par shot. Will update the photo soon.  Oil on canvas, 8" x 9". Enjoy.

Indoors

A new counterpart to an older drawing of mine. Oil on canvas 24"x 30". Spacial distortion, interior, color, you get the idea. Blockier color this time though. Enjoy

Porch II

The first sitting of another porch painting. Still exploring color (more mid-tones this time vis-a-vis the last post!) perception, and space. Will update with progress, because I'd like to go back into this. Oil on canvas, 24"x 30".

Porch: Oil on Panel

The first experiment in summer painting. I have big art plans for this summer, and I hope I get around to creating some sort of coherent body of work...this blog will be updated more regularly as well. This painting is another experiment in perception through use of color. I painted my porch from three different viewpoints (sitting, standing, and yawed a bit to the right). It is painted a bit differently than my usual style but no harm ever came from an experiment, right? Oil on gessoed panel, 18"x 24."
